The cost to submit a Degree Application for is $25 for an associate or bachelor’s degree, and $35 for graduate degrees. A late fee of $25 will be added to applications received after last day to apply without a late fee.
Degree Applications will not be accepted after the last day to apply.
Submitting your Degree Application
It is a good idea to ask for a final degree check from your college before you submit your Degree Application.
- Log in to myNMSU
- Click the Student tab
- Under Quick Links click Student Records
- Click Application for Degree (Diploma)
Students who fail to meet graduation requirements by the date indicated on the Application for Degree (Diploma) must reapply and
pay fees again.
Changes to your application must be submitted, in writing, to the Student Affairs and Enrollment Management office during the semester you plan to graduate and by the last day to apply. Name changes will not be generated using this application and will only be processed for currently enrolled students by the Registrar’s Office.
Information regarding the Commencement Ceremony will be mailed mid-semester to your current address.

Your diploma will be mailed to the address indicated on the degree application approximately eight weeks after final grades have been processed by the Registrar’s Office.
Any address change must be received, in writing, by the Registrar’s Office before the end of the semester. If there is a question concerning your diploma, contact the Student Affairs and Enrollment Management office at 575-646-4796 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
