What is it?
NMSU purchased the u.achieve degree audit system software from CollegeSource, LLC. The implementation of this system, which is called STAR (Student Academic Requirements) at NMSU, will enable students, staff, and faculty to run up-to-date degree audits using the Internet.
Which academic programs are available?
Currently, most NMSU degree and certificate programs are available online but some may be in the process of being tested or modified. Please check with your department concerning any degree which is not listed in the STAR degree audit system.
How do I log in?
Use your NMSU Username and NMSU Password to log into the system. Visit my.nmsu.edu if you need to set up your account.
How do I run an audit?
After logging in, choose the correct college/campus and then select the program and catalog year in which you have interest. Click on “Run Audit.” You will see the audit go into the queue. Once it is completed, the page will refresh and the audit will show automatically.
How do I read the audit?
You may find the audit self-explanatory but, if not, please click on one of the audit help pages in the links to the right for guidelines on how to read it.
Who do I contact if I am having trouble with STAR?
If you are a current student or staff member and are having difficulty with your myNMSU Username and/or myNMSU password, please contact the help desk at 646-1840. If you are not a current student or staff member at NMSU, you will not be able to use the STAR degree audit system. If you have specific questions about your academic program, please contact your advisor (see the nmsu advising directory for contact information).
